作文

1.On Job-hopping

1.有些人喜欢始终从事一项工作

2.有些人喜欢频繁跳槽

3.我对跳槽的看法

Opinions never reach an agreement on job-hopping. Many people are inclined to stick to one occupation in their life. In their opinions, stability is of vital importance in one’s career because the longer one takes a job, the more experienced he will become. If they are satisfied with their present jobs, they would be reluctant to take the risk of jumping to another.

On the contrary, other people prefer to change jobs frequently. They also have their grounds. First, they may think that the current job cannot bring any enjoyment or sense of satisfaction. Accordingly, they tend to choose a new one in accordance with their interests and skills. Second, they may be fed up with the long-time boring life of doing the same work. They desire a new environment and expect to make the acquaintance of more people. Third, they may get a better position or higher salary to improve their living standards.

For my part, it is advisable to hold on to the job at hand if it meets our needs and provides us with a platform to display our ability. Otherwise, it would be rational to make a change. Nevertheless, changing jobs frequently would turn a man into an unwelcome job-hopper.

My View on Drunken Driving

It is shocking to notice that tragic accidents caused by drunken driving have occurred with frequency recently. Four people were killed and one was seriously injured in Chengdu because of a young driver who had just been to a birthday party and got totally intoxicated with too much alcohol.

How can we make a quick and effective stop to these unimaginable calamities? Some people claim that severe punishment, even the extreme penalty, will work effectively, since people seem to learn more from the similar bitter cases having previously happened; others believe that more importance should be attached to education, and civilized driving should be advocated among people. These suggestions do make sense and are actually in effect in many nations at present.

In my opinion, the most important is the self-consciousness about the potential dangers to life drunken driving may cause. Only when one is aware that his life is being threatened would he try to avoid for self-protection.

However, controversy about this policy arises. Many people believe that it helps to fix the students’ sleeping time and guarantee their adequate rest. Nevertheless, the opposing voice, mainly from the students, can be heard. They complain that the policy interrupts their plans for study during the night And since they are the ones that pay the electricity
