Yeah, sure. I live in the east of the city. The neighbourhood I live in has convenient transportation, so I have easy access to bus and subway.

The natural environment, I think. It’s adjacent to a beautiful lake, so I often go cycling or running around the lake during the weekend.
How do you think it could be improved?
I think more trees should be planted along the road. Last year, the government cut many trees for broadening roads in the neighbourhood. I hope more trees can be planted now.
Do you think it is better to live in the centre of town or outside in the country? Why or why not?
I think it’s better to live in the centre because transportation is more convenient and saves time of commuting to work. You will also have more choices in choosing places to shop or eat.

Do you enjoy reading? Why or why not?
Yes, I do. I enjoy reading because I think reading is a good way to learn from the brightest minds and improve myself.
What sort of things do you read?
I read news every day to follow what’s happening in the world. Besides, I like reading classics, especially the work of Lin Yutang, a writer and translator proficient both in Chinese and Western learning.
Tell me something about your favourite book.
My favourite book is Fortress Besieged, which is a novel about the life of a Chinese young man after he studied abroad. It is interesting because it depicts different characters very vividly.
What are the advantages of reading instead of watching television or going to the cinema?
I think reading helps people to think and gives people insights about their lives while watching TV or films is more about entertainment and fun.
