本研究发现，尽管祖辈-父辈共同养育家庭中的人际关系比较和谐，但冲突型仍占19.9％。此外，本研究结果表明，和谐的祖辈-母亲共同养育关系有利于减少父母间的婚姻冲突，使幼儿获得亲密的亲子关系。因此，构建和谐的祖辈-父辈共同养育家庭中的人际关系尤其是祖辈-母亲共同养育关系是促进幼儿发展，发挥家庭作用的关键。
With the progress of the times, more and more women have their own careers and the number of two-paycheck families is increasing. Due to the dual pressure from work and life upon the young parents, the heavy burden of bringing up the children inevitably falls on the shoulders of the grandparents who more often than not show strong willingness and a keen sense of responsibility for rearing their grandchildren, which leads to the grandparental-parental co-parenting of the children. Specifically, such a phenomenon means in the new family or the family of origin, the parents transfer part of the responsibility for rearing the children to the grandparents so that the parents and grandparents co-parent the children. Over recent years, with the selective two-child policy and the universal two-child policy successively implemented, the parental-grandparental co-parenting has become a widely seen parenting mode in China. Different from parental co-parenting, the grandparental-parental co-parenting stresses the joint participation and common responsibility of the grandparents and parents in bringing up the children. In such a child-rearing mode, the interpersonal relationship in the family changes from the interaction between the two generations of parents and children to one between the three generations of grandparents, parents and children, making the internal mechanism of interpersonal relationships within the family more complicated. The harmonious interpersonal relationships and good atmosphere of the family guarantee the sound physical and psychological development of all family members and especially the children, and also constitute the cornerstone of harmonious society. Therefore, it holds great significance to the individuals’ growth, family stability and social development to look into the interpersonal relationships in the grandparental-parental co-parenting families.
This research finds that though the interpersonal relationships in the grandparental-parental co-parenting families are on the whole harmonious, the families seeing conflict still account for 19.9％. Besides, the research result shows the harmonious grandparental-mother co-parenting relationship helps to reduce marital conflict between the parents and makes the young children benefit from the close parent-child relationship. Therefore, to build harmonious interpersonal relationships and especially harmonious grandparental-mother co-parenting relationships in the grandparental-parental co-parenting families holds the key to promoting children’s development and bringing the family’s role into play.
