I volunteer to offer meals to the old every Friday. A week ago, I had the pleasure of helping one of my customers. She is almost 80 and is very weak and I always bring her lunch on Fridays. She looked very worried when she opened the door one day. She told me there was something wrong with her phone and that she couldn’t receive the call from her doctor. She went to her neighbors, but they were not at home. She thought maybe the mailman could help her, but he didn\’t come. She was very disappointed.

Being able to help her just in her time of trouble filled my heart with love and happiness. It does not take too much time or energy to help someone like a neighbor. Sometimes, all that is needed is a smile, a hug or a phone call.
